I am also getting ready to begin my first year teaching. I have will be teaching EMH students in k-5th grade. I have had the opportunity to work with some of my students over the summer. I feel that some of them might be ready for some basic reading skills. What kind of sight words do you start with? I also have some non-verbal students. Where would I get info on the Mayer Johnson materials? I would be very interested in swapping ideas throughout the year. I think you have some wonderful ideas. I can use all the help I can get! Thanks
