I am beginning my fourth year as a parapro. I have been lucky to work with a teacher who sounds alot like Amy Lee. One thing I was nervous about at the beginning was the extent of authority the teacher wanted me to exert in the classroom with the regular population (not just "my guy"). I was insecure about just what would be considered overstepping. The advice to have an open relationship is very wise. It is important for the parapro to know what you expect in terms of regular classroom rules and discipline. Good luck. Have a great year.
