To Phyllis

Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Phyllis,
In my state it is not YET a requirement to have an ESL endoresement b/c non-English speaking children are just beginning to come into this state. I feel it will be required as the number arises. HOWEVER, I do not wish to have to "wing it". That is why I am asking for help, now. This district will be hiring 2 ESL teachers for every school in the district. It would be impossible for them to hire all ESL endorsed teachers (in this state, anyway). Don't you think the adminstrators will be looking for teachers who will try to do what is best for the children by asking for help from other ESL teachers and reading ESL books and materials? I don't think they would hire someone who will just "wing it".
Thank you.
KimW
