I can use all the help and advice I can get. Your suggestions are appreciated and I'm sure I will already use some of them. I will have a child (1st grade) who may have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. From
for him), would it be wise for me to put him next to my desk, back to class with a view of the window (faces a quiet courtyard with trees, etc.). I am new at this and want to do the right thing. Most of my children are too young for a firm diagnosis. All are ADD, ADHD, ODD and most have experienced some type of trauma in their lives. They come from needy and messed up families. Also, any ideas for parent participation in my behavior disorders program? I may need to keep in contact with you during the schoolyear just to maintain my sanity. I have alot of ideas and plans and know that we must keep very busy. Also, any ideas on how to go about teaching K and 1st Grade subjects at the same time? How is this usually done? I will probably have 5 boys (two K and 3 1st gr.) and a full-time Aide. Sorry it took several days to respond. I did not see your message till today. Thanks for your time and help! Cristina
