By daina

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a certified Early Childhood Interventionistin the state of Texas. Each state has their own guide lines for certification. Early Childhood Interventionist can come from a variety of backgrounds most often they come
from an educational background. In the state of Texas they have an Early Childhood Interventionist Competancy training program for certification.
Early Childhood Interventionist can provide a number of services depending on their organizations set up. I worked for ECI/CHILDTEAM in Texas. We where expected to be cross-trained to evaluate using observation, parent information and a multi-discplinary
team a childs and families needs. We provided parent information regarding disabilities, intervention based on therapist recommendations and training to remediate the child's needs. Early Interventionist worked closely with community organizations to help their families access the resources as needed. The Early Interventionist supplied case management and emotional support for the family and child with special needs. You can find out more information by using a search engine and Early Childhood Intervention/ ECI. Goodluck,
Daina Taylor
