Clip to ScrapBook
I teach the same age group that you will and have almost the same schedule too. I share a room with another teacher and so the space that we have is limited. In my section of the room I hang up lots of posters such as a
multiplication table, punctuation/grammar rules, 6-trait writing poster, etc. I also do general bulletin boards such as a calendar, character education, and an overall reward system. If a class, say 5th grade, is studying the states, I may take some wall space and put up information regarding the states like maybe a map or facts about the states, or maybe even set up a center that the
students can work on when done with the task at hand. I like to make my room colorful and interesting and find myself changing my room around or the decorations often. If you have students that are easily distracted then a colorful room is probably not the way to go unless you can seat them with the "distractions" out of sight. Hope this helps you. Good Luck!
