    Our week routine looks like this: Mon: Introduce the new sort and a copy goes home for homework. Tuesday: Resort the words, put in ABC order and write in the spelling notebook. Wed. students pick out some of their words and write them in a sentence. They also complete a word search (I make them on discovery puzzlemaker). Thursday they do a buddy sort. Fri: they do a word race and I give a spelling test. If the students finish early, they can choose a literacy choice and one of the choices is to practice their words with letter stamps and make them rainbow words (each letter in a different color marker) and also I have a couple games out to practice high frequency words.
