Each group has two cups--Needs Sharpened and Sharpened. I make sure there are at least 10-15 cups in the sharpened cup for each group each day. At the end of the day, my pencil helper uses my super expensive good electric sharpener to sharpen all pencils that need sharpened. Because there are so many sharpened pencils at each group. when a kiddo needs a new one, they take a few steps and pick it up. It's cut down on the stolen pencils and we never run out!
