Clip to ScrapBook
When I taught 4th grade, the middle school technology teacher asked the 4th and 5th grade teachers to provide some basic instruction, especially in Word and Powerpoint. It allowed him a foundation from which to work when
they got into the middle school.

We made advertisements and posters for trade books or reading selections we'd read. We jigsawed different aspects of state information and then put it all together in a Powerpoint presentation. I remember doing the same with a solar system powerpoint. We made powerpoints in health class. We used Powerpoint to create a poster for a lost pet (I LOVE
using powerpoint for print projects - it can be manipulated more easily than Word), and created Powerpoints for "All About Me" slide shows.

Teach them to do all those "neat" things like rotating test, creating shapes, wrapping text, etc. They love to explore!:)
