carnival

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't know if this will help but.......at our carnival each class collects items for a themed basket which we then auction. Teachers send letters home telling parents what the class theme basket will be (such as baking,
sports, barbie, disney.......ect) This is a huge hit at our school. We made an average of $150.00 per basket. One of the best baskets last year was Dr. Suess. Parents sent books, tapes, tshirts, socks, umbrellas ect. ect. Why not do one basket for the school or one per grade level. Then, display the baskets in the front hall of the school the week of the auction. Set up silent auction sheets
so parents who come into the school can start the bidding. On the day of the carnival, move the basket where everyone can view them easily.(Our music teacher was in charge of the basket auction at our school, so the baskets were on tables outside of the music room ...which is on the edge of the playground.) Good luck on the carnival...sounds like fun
P.S.
oriental trading has tons of Dr.Suess items.
