    I was looking thru old Mailbox magazines and they suggested having the kids fold a sheet of white paper in half and have them write descriptive words about the inside and outside of the pumpkin. Then have them draw pictures of it (inside and out). You could take it a step further and have them write comparing/contrasting statements, venn diagrams, or similes... (The pumpkin was as round as the moon, as smooth as my desk, as sticky as honey...)
