Time Capsules

This past school year I started the day with my CD/LD students making a time capsule. I had a sheet with a variety of questions - who is your favorite singer? favorite song? favorite TV show? Who will win the presidential election? (Bush or Gore), etc. The students also had to measure a piece of string to their height, trace their hand, trace their shoe, etc. All of these materials were put into a potato chip can (pringles can). The students decorated the outside of the can. I lined up the cans on top of a bookshelf. The time capsules stayed there all year. We opened them on the last day of school. Pretty cool to see how the kids had grown and what information changed!
