I read Debbie Diller's book. She also has a book on guided reading. I plan to read that book after I have completed Growing Readers and the Daily 5.

I think the reason why everyone loves that book is because it is very easy to read and can be read quickly. Also, the things that can be done in centers is not busy work. They are actually reinforcing what they have already learned.
