I AM sorry if anything I said made you feel that I was criticizing your performance as a teacher. I give you a lot of credit for having such conern about the situation.... it sounds like you are a relatively new teacher, and it's hard to make those decisions..... it's really scary when so many factors come into play and you have to figure out and assess what the underlying cause is..... and even after picking through every detail, you still might not know...... that's been my experience..... I think we all agree that we try to do the best with the situation we are given.... good luck with her- she's lucky to have someone that cares so much about her- I wish some of the teachers I worked with had as much compassion.......
