"Reader's Workshop helps me grow my reading muscles. Every day in Reader's Workshop, I will..." A couple days before the celebration, I showed them just that beginning part of the contract and I had them brainstorm things they promise they will do every day in Reader's Workshop so that it works for us all year and we can become better readers. They came up with things like reread, use our library voices so everyone can concentrate, share books with my reading partner, have fun, read books about things I like...and a couple others I can't remember. I wrote all of these on the contract that day after school and then at the celebration they all signed it. Not sure if this is exactly what Kathy had in mind, but I couldn't find an example either! :)
