I started a second master's degree this summer so I am right there with you! I completed my first program while teaching full time and it becomes more manageable if you provide a timeframe for when you will plan for school
and when you will tackle assignments. Depending on your program of study, you can do some of your assignments with the students. My first program was in C and I so I was designing units and lesson plans for classes that I could use with my students. When you are trying out something new in your classroom, explain to them that you are a student and you go to school, also. That way you can

all learn together.

I love taking online classes because they give you some flexibility and you don't have to travel to go to class. The class I took this summer did involve lots of extra time on the computer but I can directly apply it to my classroom next year.

Now that I am going into a new certification area, I would be interested in knowing any tips that worked for others as well. I 'm doing "on the job training" now while completing my SLM degree. Many of the courses I will take directly apply to what I am doing so anytime you can make an assignment work for you in your cousework and your classroom will be a timesaver.
