This is so odd to see the variety in planning throughout teaching. In my district we get 3- 30 min. planning and 2 - 45 min planning a week. We cover our own recess duty every day (which we are required by law to give for 20 min every day) and we have a rotating AM and PM duty schedule - for early arrivals (from 8:30-8:50) and bus dismissal. We'll see how that goes this year because since I have been teaching the PM duty has broken our contract because of a shortage of busses.
