    New York State:

In my school district, and in the two I went to growing up, we say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning.

In my school district now, all are required to stand and remain motionless while it is said over the announcements.

Most students recite and some hold their hands on their hearts. I do both as well.

Every classroom as well as the "Cafetorium" has a US Flag. We only have one big New York State Flag and that's in the Cafetorium and is brought out for special things such as the school musical, moving up ceremonies, etc. and is displayed with the US Flag.

In my DD's school, they sing "Three Cheers for the Red, White and Blue" after the Pledge.
