My experience continues...

Clip to ScrapBook
I also think this is a wonderful service, but...I dropped off my laminating on Thursday of last week. It was a relatively large amount, but the store was definitely not busy. The manager was called by the clerk at the lamination
desk (who seemed overwhelmed by my folders and other materials) and she totaled it and took my contact info. She said they'd be ready the next day after 5, which was fine. I was in no rush. The weather was bad Friday and it is a 30 mile trip to this store, so I came back Saturday afternoon. A small portion was done, (and done beautifully in very high quality laminate and even cut
into smaller sections folder by folder:p). However, the vast majority of the work was still laying on the table, undone. When I got someone to come over to the unstaffed laminating desk, they told me the work would be started after 2 by the employee coming in later, even if he had to stand for a long time doing it. That was more time than I had, so I decided to call today (Sunday) to see if the work was done. Of course, it wasn't. Now, I got a manager who told me the laminator was broken and the technician was coming today. This sounds more and more like my school! I am in no rush, but once again, I was not contacted and had I taken the words of the person yesterday in good faith, I would have made that long drive again for nothing. I did speak to the manager and told him that I should have been contacted, and he is going to address this in training. He did not attempt to apologize for what had happened nor also for my time and gas cost going out there, which I don't think is especially good customer service. This store was far from busy either time. Our back-to-school rush in this area won't start for another couple of weeks. Because the work was wonderful, I will be waiting. I just think it could have been handled better, free or not.
