My advice would be to tell your administrators that you cannot ignore this new behavior and that you want solutions. Sometimes teachers have to be forceful and demanding to get something done. If this still doesn't work, then state that if you have to deal with these problems and this student you will continue to as it is your job, but you will no longer be in a room alone with the child. If his aide is away then move him and yourself to the office area, library, etc., where you always have a witness. Another option, get a video camera. Start recording his behavior and how you are attempting to deal with it. It may serve as a way to protect you from charges as well as unfortunately someone could witness what he is doing and misinterpret what is going on. You could also allow your administrators to see the tape and then they might realize how serious the situation really is. Nothing against "women" teachers as I am one myself, but this student might also be better off with a male teacher as he may not do the same types of things. I hope things improve for you, it is definately not a great way to spend a year.
