I really think you are right Michelle. I am doing the best I can do...and with no support from the administration and the parents fighting me every inch of the way, I guess its time to just that - give up. I will continue
to try, but I am going to stop getting so upset about this. I am going to start taping as much as I can, especially when I am alone with him. That way there will be some sort of proof that at least I am not being "mean" to this child. I know they think I "abuse" him, and I would really love to know why they think so. I have always tried very hard to be a good teacher to this student.

I do admit I have raise my voice quite loud with this student, but I can only take him grabbing my chest and spitting on me for so long!!! I have never, nor would ever, hurt this child. For God's sake, we teacher have feelings and emotions just like every other person on this planet! I don't like to be a punching bag more then anyone else I can't wait to leave this job. I am seriously considering never teaching speical ed again, although I love working with my other students, and I know the grass isn't greener on the other side. Four and half months and counting til I can move on. And I can't wait!!!
