You Would Not Believe
By MaddieC

Clip to ScrapBook
Our families were seriously impacted by Katrina. Many families left our community because they got tired of fighting the government (state and federal), the insurance companies, the contractors, and hurricanes in general.

While our classes were never huge (18-25) they became much smaller after the storm. As of Friday, I have 10 students. (The first grade teacher has 4.) We are K-12 and at the elementary level there is only one section at each grade level.

While I am sure most of you envy the small class size, please believe me when I say I would give anything to return to our pre-Katrina numbers.
