my welcome letter to the parents about how when I was available and asked them to please not come into the class before school to discuss their child because this was a very busy time for all of us and I wouldn't be able to give them my full attention.

Now, will this work? I don't know, it's my first year.

At my son's school, the principal won't allow parents into the school to drop of their child. She stands in the front hall and stops them!
