Clip to ScrapBook
For my first grade class, I cut travel pictures (mostly beach scenes) out of magazines and glued to to one side of an 8.5 x 11 piece of coverstock. On the other side of the coverstock, I had already printed the content (from
the book) of the notes that the punctuation marks sent to the class, only they were addressed to my class. I also happened to have some stickers that looked like stamps, so I put those on too. When finished, it looks like an oversized postcard. As I read the book aloud, I pull out each "postcard" as it appears in the book. The kids "ooh" and "ahh" over the beautiful vacation picture
on one side of the card, and it's easier for them to read the note on the other side, because I used the largest font that could fit. That way, we can have a better discussion about what's wrong with the notes, because the kids can see the words better.

I hoped I explained this in a way that can be understood! :o The "postcards" are at school, but if you're interested I can take a digital pic of them and post or send them to you. Have fun with this great book! Ü
