third graders

I LOVE teaching third grade! They DO still love you and want to please you. Ofcourse in third, lots of new skills are introduced. Multiplication and cursive handwriting are taught. Every year, my third graders can't wait to learn cursive. This is a major accomplishment to them. They feel so grown up! From my experience, they aren't too thrilled with the multiplication but I try to make it fun. There's only so much you can do though with the mult. fact...they just have to learn them. I think you will find third graders a little more independent but nothing major. I love third and I hope you do too. Keep us up to date on how it's going!
