Allergic Teacher
By KWTeach

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a teacher with a peanut allergy. The best advice I can give you is if you have questions - ASK! Do not take ANY risks when it comes to this. There are various degrees of the peanut allergy, but I prefer not to have it in my room at all, as I can not even touch peanuts or peanut products. Also, really understand the severity of the allergy - some can not consume products with peanut oil or that are made in a factory where peanuts are used.

Please try to make the parents of this child or children as comfortable as you can by informing all the other parents and enforcing the "no peanut" policy. This is a safety issue and although to some it may seem silly, it is significant and very problematic for people who deal with it.
