I had to take the MAT two years ago to get into a grad program. I didn't do any practice ahead of time. I took the test at a testing center, it was on the computer and I had plenty of time to complete it. Just 120 multiple choice. As soon as the test was over I got to see my 'unofficial' score right away. I did just fine. All in all it was a good experience.
