North Carolina By NCteacher

Here is central North Carolina, the winters are mild, the summers can be hellish and the statewide need for teachers numbers in the thousands. There are almost 10,000 UNFILLED teaching positions every year. If you are accustomed to a unionized state, you might not like the fact that expectations for teachers here are very different. I moved here from southwest Virginia- so the weather has taken some getting used to - I miss my mountains. But here in NC, you can have mountains, beach, piedmont, plains..... I am an hour away from Winston Salem, and an hour from Raleigh, two hours from Charlotte and three or four from the coast. If you need more info, let me know!

PS- Totally forgot to mention that Pinehurst is maybe two hours or so from here!
