Managing money

I wondered about resource people to introduce some info about personal economy: saving money, earning money, making wise buying decisions, how interest on savings and interest on credit card charges work, etc. There once was a magazine for children something like Consumer Reports. I subscribed for my class but cannot remember the name. I think it may have failed.

Some schools have a school bank that lets students save money. The bank is managed by students in 5th grade (for a grade 3-5 school) and opens certain times every week for deposits and withdrawals.
