You could just decorate the reading corner as the jungle, ocean or the beach, but the rest of your room can be more simply done. Don't feel you have to invest in more than that to make a big impact. It can be done without every single bulletin board matching.

I use a theme for my opening bulletin board and continue that theme in a few places, perhaps name badges, locker tags, title on the calendar, but I don't necessarily commit to it for a whole year.
