Michele, I agree with you about the Louis Sachar books and the Bill Wallace DANGER IN QUICKSAND SWAMP. Actually, Bill Wallace has written many books -- DANGER AT BLACKWATER SWAMP, EYE OF THE GREAT BEAR, JOURNEY INTO TERROR . . . and then there are the stories by Wallace told from the animal's (main character) perspective -- WATCHDOG AND COYOTE, BACKWARD BIRD DOG, A DOG NAMED KITTY . . . the list goes on and on and on and on and on . . .
