I have to put on a Christmas Concert and have come up with the following idea. Possibly you could do what I did an alter it. I got the idea from a site but it had a very religious aspect and I wanted to give a more rounded
view because of the audience. It was a Christian site I got it from. Two children are talking about receiving Christmas Cards and one of them states that he doen't get any because they don't send any. The other child explains that they do and that they tell people about love and keeping in touch with friends who live far away etc. Each card also tells a story eg some have Father Christmas,

or a tree, or snow, bells, family gathering, Religious picture. We are going to make up 6 pictures. Reindeer, Father Christmas, Snowman, Religious, Family gathering in the sun(I live in Australia)and one other can't remember at the moment. The pictures can be done on large card and represent a Christmas card but this way the audience can see, after each card we are going to sing a carol or song eg Father Christmas will be followed by the song Where is Santa. You could also talk about around the world the fact that it is hot in Australia and what we do. Two great songs about Australia is Australian Jingle Bells (same music but different words. It is fantastic) Or Six White Boomers - a boomer is a kangaroo. E mail me if you want the words or any questions.
