Pumpkin Jars
By Kelly

Clip to ScrapBook
I always make pumpkin jars with my students. Each student needs a baby food jar or any other size jar. Mix a small amount of water and glue in another container. Give the students either orange & green tissue paper or
orange & green streamer paper. Students tear small pieces of tissue and dip it in the glue like substance and then stick it on the jar. They keep doing this until the jar is covered. When it dries, students draw pumpkin faces on their jars. They turn out really cute. My students leave them on their desk and when they come to school on Halloween, they find their jar filled with small treats.

I also teach 3rd grade and I have never had a jar break (baby food jars are easier to use if you have access to them). My students have always loved making these.
