Best advice
By CageyBee

Clip to ScrapBook
I was told the one as posted before:"Treat each child as if s/he was your own." But the rest of the advice was, "And treat each parent the way you would want to be treated." That has always helped during a conference...really made me present information in a direct, professional manner. My ego NEVER came into play with that phrase in my head.

One advice I give my sixth graders is paraphrased from the Dali Lama:
We were put on this earth to help each other every day in any way possible....BUT...if we cannot help anyone, at least DO THEM NO HARM! I love that...takes care of many "hurts" we all tend to do.
