Clip to ScrapBook
I am exactly like you, except I don't have any children yet. My husband asks me the same thing all the time b/c if I'm not at school working, I'm reading a new educational book or surfing other teacher's websites or talking
on PT. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was four and my older sister started Kindergarten, so I always tell him that teaching is my passion and my life. I also believe I was born to teach and it is something in my blood (as most of my family consists of teachers). However, I sometimes worry that is more like an obsession also. Last year was my 1st year, so I was hoping that most
of it was due to having finally achieved my goal in life, yet I can completly see myself being just as you are years down the road. How do you handle that nagging desire to work, work, work? If you don't mind, how long have you been teaching? I'm hoping with the more experience I gain the less I'll feel this way. Thanks for your post! It's nice to know there are more teachers just like me....can't wait to share it with my husband!!! :)
