What about the rest of your day?
By Reggie

Clip to ScrapBook
I would love to spend that much time on math! I think that it is great. My day is like this:

8-8:30 free reading
8:30-11:30 we have integrated Reading, spelling, English (+ 30 minutes of various specials every morning)I then introduce a cursive writing letter and we go to lunch
11:30-12:00 Lunch
12-12:12 I read aloud - they finish cursive work.
12:15 - 1:00 (sometimes 1:15) Math
1:15 - 1:50 Science/or Social Studies
2:00 recess
245 go home.

We use Tony Chestnut songs to transition between activities.

Do you have any ideas on how to improve my schedule? We have a state math test also and I would love to spend more time with math. I am pretty much using the same schedule my cooperating teacher used.
