Clip to ScrapBook
Mine is for after school starts, and it has student-made items, but if I were doing one when you are I'd still do a scavenger hunt with the following:

1. Find your name on the door - then come on in!
2. Do you
see your desk? Look for your name written in cursive. It's okay if you can't read it yet - we'll get lots of practice writing in cursive this year.
3. Check out our classroom library! Do you see some of your favorites? Feel free to spend a few minutes looking through the baskets.
4. Meet George and Ursula - our class hermit crabs! They're a little shy, so please don't open
the cage. You might get a chance to take them home one weekend if you'd like!
5. Our behavior chart has pins to move if a problem arises. Let's plan to stay on a smiley face all year!
6. The Information Hut has our menu, school calendar, Jungle News, etc...
7. Please see me before you leave - I have a special gift for you. It's just my little way of saying thanks for coming by!

I'd have a little goody bag for each one - with a new pencil, homework pass, piece of candy, etc...
