Dollar Tree is a great place to buy bulletin board letters. Much cheaper than the $4-6 at the teacher supply store for the same letters.

I think I have already spent at least $400 on my classroom, maybe more, I haven't added it all up. I only got $150 from my school for supplies and had to buy construction paper and other classroom essentials with that.

I would hold off on buying much until you find out what grade you will be teaching. So much of what I have purchased has been grade specific.
