Spelling Center
By Gabby

Clip to ScrapBook
Go with the Spelling Center!! They're lots of fun and their are many different things you can do. The previous post has some great ideas!! Here are some others I use for Spelling Centers:
1. Pipe Cleaner Spelling: cut
apart pipe cleaners, students bend to form letters and spell words
2. provide white board for students to practice test alone or with a partner
3. Clothes pin spelling: Label clothes pins with letters of the alphabet. Get a paint stick from Wal-Mart and paint a bright color. Students arrange clothes pins on stick to spell words.
4. Magnetic Spelling: Purchase a cheap cookkie
sheet and set of magnet letters. Students arrange letters on sheet to spell words.
5. Word Search: This is a good spelling lesson(practice) that can be used later as center. Give each student a sheet of graph paper and fill in with spelling words. Fill in blanks with various letters.

Good luck with whatever you decide on and have fun with it!!
