Go with the Spelling Center!! They're lots of fun and their are many different things you can do. The previous post has some great ideas!! Here are some others I use for Spelling Centers: 1. Pipe Cleaner Spelling: cut apart pipe cleaners, students bend to form letters and spell words 2. provide white board for students to practice test alone or with a partner 3. Clothes pin spelling: Label clothes pins with letters of the alphabet. Get a paint stick from Wal-Mart and paint a bright color. Students arrange clothes pins on stick to spell words. 4. Magnetic Spelling: Purchase a cheap cookkie | | sheet and set of magnet letters. Students arrange letters on sheet to spell words. 5. Word Search: This is a good spelling lesson(practice) that can be used later as center. Give each student a sheet of graph paper and fill in with spelling words. Fill in blanks with various letters.Good luck with whatever you decide on and have fun with it!!
