Things to do when done

I have a poster on my wall called "Things to Do When You are Done". It is a commercial poster that I bought at a teacher store. On the back, there are a couple masters that go with it...a check list for you, and a check list for the students that is basically a replica of the poster, and also awards. I copy the check list and put it in their journal folder; they know they can work on these items whenever they are done and that they will receive one of the awards when they complete all of them. It works great!
In addition to this poster, my students also have the option of writing in their journal or reading their DIRT book.
