Open House Idea
By Sue

Clip to ScrapBook
I just had my class make a book entitled "What I Want To Be When I Grow-Up". The kids started by drawing a picture of themselves in their chosen occupation on a piece of white paper (this serves as the cover). They then answered some questions about their jobs like, What do I need to do so that I can be a______?, I think I would be good at this because _________, Why is this job important?, etc.

This helps me know where my kids interests are and it is a great way to talk about Labor Day. I think some parents will be surprised about what occupations their children have "chosen" right now.
