I agree with the others - start off teaching procedures and let them practice and practice. I'll attach a few things that might be helpful to you. I would also advise reading the Harry Wong First Days of School book. It goes into more detail about the procedures and many other topics. It was a wonderful resource for me.

This board is also a wonderful resource! Keep reading the posts and you'll probably get many questions answered. :)

I teach 3rd grade, but these attachments might give you a place to start anyway.
