1. He is already graduating when he is 17 years old.....we don't want it to be 16. 2. He is a boy. They mature slower than girls and we felt he would not appreciate not being able to drive until after all his friends. Socially, he would not be at an advantage. This was a HUGE factor for us. 3. We are in no hurry to "make him grow up" He finished his K year having COMPLETED the 3rd grade math book. Won every award possible and had a fantastic school year. Not to mention he is a great kid. He loved helping his peers. We stimulate our son by providing experiences and support. He is always going to be ahead and we are ok with it. When he gets into HS, he can take advanced classes and dual enroll. We read, go to museums and science centers, play games and sudoku puzzles. We also watch movies, play with playdoh and dance to music. I know as a parent, we made the right choice. Hope that helps. (hearing from someone who went through it this year):s)
