Do you know what grade you will be teaching? There is such a change in my 3rd graders from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. One thing I think works for all grade levels, start out the year giving your students your expectations and unfortunately you have you to be strict at the beginning. Don't give them too much room at the beginning, show them respect and they will show you respect. Good luck!:s)
