I know what you are going through
By Val

Clip to ScrapBook
Last school year I had a baby in Feb. This was the first time I had a long term sub. What I did was have her job shadow me for 2 days about 3 weeks before I was due. I also showed her my lesson plans and made an outline
of what needed to be covered every month. For example, in March she needed to complete 20 lessons of math, do a play, make the kids write a letter to someone special...you get the idea. Then with the time left over, I let her choose what she wanted to do. Needless to say, she did not have much time. It worked out well. Everything was covered while I was gone and she still had some
freedom to do her own thing. I made the outline very basic. Also, I always had my lesson plans done for 3 weeks in advance so if I did have the baby early, she had something to follow and she would stay on my schedule.

Hope this helps
