I highly recommend visiting Intervention Central's website. Due to policies I can't put the exact website but think if you type in the key words it should get you there. It provides tips, advice, and strategies for working| with both behavior and academic issues. There are several things to read regarding ADHD students. I wish you the best of luck...you never know sometimes the things you dread the most end up being the least dreadful :) He is lucky to have a caring teacher. Having "your ducks in a row" and having a support team set up and ready to go will certainly benefit your efforts :) I'd recommend from | | experience that it is nice to have a couple of friends on your grade level or another who may be willing to share your new active little one and give you a much needed break here and there....perhaps he could be a "runner" for you or a reading buddy for a lower grade.
