RE: NCteacher message

I highly recommend visiting Intervention Central's website. Due to policies I can't put the exact website but think if you type in the key words it should get you there. It provides tips, advice, and strategies for working
with both behavior and academic issues. There are several things to read regarding ADHD students. I wish you the best of luck...you never know sometimes the things you dread the most end up being the least dreadful :) He is lucky to have a caring teacher. Having "your ducks in a row" and having a support team set up and ready to go will certainly benefit your efforts :) I'd recommend from
experience that it is nice to have a couple of friends on your grade level or another who may be willing to share your new active little one and give you a much needed break here and there....perhaps he could be a "runner" for you or a reading buddy for a lower grade.
