Second Grade Reading

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Angie,

I, too, teach in Texas and it is 2nd grade. Good for you wanting to know more. I am sending you a link to a teacher in CA who teaches reading and writing workshop. There is also a clip with her teaching
a guided reading group. You will be able to view how she does this. It is very useful and helpful information. Even after teaching 23 years, I always have room to learn more. The site is:

Something I will be trying new this school year is implementing The Daily Five. That is
an easy read with great information and I am really excited about using it in class. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. What part of Texas do you teach in?

Terri
