Two folders
By KcK

Clip to ScrapBook
I use two folders as well. One is the Take Home Folder (exactly as described above) one pocket is return to school and the other is keep at home. I put homework sheets into the prongs in the middle. At the beginning of every
day students go through their folder and turn in any homework, forms, or notest to me. Homework goes in a tray and everything else goes in my folder on my desk. Their folder then goes in their mailbox. At the end of the day, I write the homework on on the board and then we empty mailboxes and do our take home folders. It takes about 10 minutes at the beginning, but after a month or so,
the kids can do it in five.
On Fridays, we send home our Friday Folder which contains all the graded/checked work for the week. I also put in the Friday Folder a weekly progress report and a newsletter. The Friday Folder must be signed and the progress report gets signed. Both must come back to school the next day. We pass out papers on Friday for the Friday folders. I used to file them, but it got to be too much. :)
