You might want to check at your school- I am now teaching in my 3rd district in NC. Some of the larger schools I have taught in have a gifted certified teacher at each grade level. Even though we don't start enrichment til 3rd grade here, there are teachers who have that add on licensure. A teacher with that licensure would be more familiar with gifted kids and how to challenge them. Welcome to NC- it is a great place!
