Skipping kindergarten-any experience? By NC5th

My daughter just turned five on June 17. I am going to be teaching 5th grade, so my daughter will be attending the same school. We are moving from another state. Here in Michigan, she went to a Montessori preschool and I've been working with her ever since she was a baby on various skills. She was tested and has a 134 IQ and was going to go to a gifted school here. However, with no teaching jobs in Michigan we chose to move out of state, to North Carolina.
They have a gifted program, but it doesn't start until 3rd grade. Looking at the expectations for kindergarten, she knew all of those skills | | before she even started preschool. In fact, she already knows most of the 1st grade skills. She can read long vowel words. I'm working with her on vowel combinations right now, such as oo, ou, etc. She can count and print her numbers to 100+. As far as social studies, they taught her all of the states and continents at preschool. She learned life cycle of a butterfly, all of the planets, sink and float, sea creatures, etc. So, I really feel like she wouldn't be missing anything academically if she skipped kindergarten.
My principal gave me this option. However, being that she just turned 5, I'm a little bit concerned about the social ramifications. Keep in mind, that we are already moving out of state, she's already going to sound different than the other kids (Michigan to North Carolina-big difference in the way we sound). I really want to do what's best for her in the long run. I don't want her first school experience to be one of boredom and not learning anything new. At the same time, I don't want her to miss out on all the fun kindergarten things that she wouldn't be able to do in first grade.
Sorry this became really long... Does anyone have any experience with grade skipping that you can share? I would love to hear any opinions. Thanks!
